Tachmed acknowledged for collaborative progression of diagnostic technology by SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards

Innovative medtech and life sciences business, Tachmed, has been recognised for its advances in diagnostic platform technology, in partnership with City St George’s University of London, by the prestigious SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards.

Underpinned by its mission to make healthcare accessible to all, Tachmed is focused on enabling people to diagnose a multitude of medical conditions from the comfort of their own home using just one digital device.

A networking organisation working to support innovators to transform healthcare, SEHTA boasts over 1,200 global members.

Its annual Healthcare Business Awards present a spectacular showcase of the very best collaborations between industry, academia, and the NHS across the South East of England, London, Oxford, East of England and Essex, while successfully celebrating the achievements of life science companies across these regions.

Shortlisted under the Partnership between Academia & Business category for its successful collaboration with City St George’s University of London around assay development, the SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards not only recognise the value of this partnership but also its potential to drive innovation in healthcare delivery through diagnostic platform technology.

Paul Christie, Founder and CEO of Tachmed, explained: “Our collaboration with City St George’s University of London is an exciting project that addresses the unmet need of at-home/over the counter digital diagnostics, with the goal of improving patient care by providing immediacy of results, reducing stress, protecting vulnerable groups, enabling epidemiologic data collection and in summary, benefiting patients.

This included identifying new biomarkers, optimising antibody selection and independent verification and validation of the efficacity of the final combination. To be recognised by the SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards is a true honour and affirms that we are on track to truly transform how patients access healthcare by UK and worldwide.”

Set to take place on 10th April 2025 at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering [LIHE], London, the SEHTA Healthcare Business Awards will welcome finalists from across six different categories.

Headquartered in London, Tachmed was co-founded by Paul Christie, CEO, and Lord Maxwell Beaverbrook in 2018.

With plans to officially launch to market during the second half of 2025, Tachmed’s advanced smart health platform will have the capability to significantly reduce healthcare waiting lists, while saving vital costs, resource and even lives through early diagnosis.
