OneContact, a new two-way communications platform developed in collaboration between Primary Care IT, Iatro and X-ON, has been awarded on to the new NHS Digital First Online Consultation and Video Consultation (DFOCVC) Framework.
The DFOCVC framework is a new purchasing framework that delivers on the commitments of the NHS Long Term Plan to support online consultation in general practice. It provides a streamlined route for supplying and purchasing assured online consultation and video consultation systems, and is now available for CCG and Primary Care organisations across England.
Suppliers awarded onto the framework must demonstrate a range of capabilities to support GP Practices to offer video and e-consultations, and satisfy stringent NHS security and governance requirements. “It’s a fantastic endorsement to be awarded as one of the first products on the framework. We’ve spent a lot of time working with our Primary Care customers to create a best-in-class communications platform. OneContact delivers against all the key requirements Primary Care needs for video and consultations, but with lots of additional features, including remote review and localisation capabilities.” Said Dustyn Saint, Primary Care IT Managing Director.
The product has been borne out of a true partnership approach, created in collaboration between Primary Care IT, Iatro Partners and X-on along with significant customer feedback during the build process. Primary Care IT are led by a team of clinicians who specialise in producing clinical content and tools to improve efficiencies across Primary Care. Iatro Partners are a leading provider of software in Primary Care, with its GP Practice websites receiving over 9 million patient visit a month. X-on are a specialist cloud telephony provider to the NHS. “By combining our expertise in building clinical content, accessible and usable software, and cloud telephony services, we’ve developed a sophisticated, usable and customisable product with no compromises in quality.” Says Thomas Porteus, Managing Director for Iatro.
OneContact has been built to support Primary Care organisations to communicate remotely with patients when a face to face appointment is unnecessary. OneContact supports both inbound and outbound patient communication, with flexible configurability so the product can scale the extent of their digital communication options over time. The product includes a range of localisation features for CCG deployments, including local signposting for triage forms and bespoke review forms for specific local needs.
Launched in early 2021, OneContact has already been purchased for use across over 250 GP practices in North East London, where it’s being used to support the remote management of COVID patients and is interoperable with the main clinical systems.
